India Post has extended the application date for 2,357 vacancies in the Department of Post's West Bengal circle to August 22, 2021. Previously, the deadline to apply for the position was August 19, 2021.
For those candidates who have previously registered but have not completed their final application, the West Bengal Circle has extended the deadline for submitting online applications till August 22, 2021, according to the official website.

TRCA for a minimum of 4 hours/Level 1 in TRCA Slab

ABPM/Dak Sevak - Rs 12,000/- BPM - Rs 14,500/-

- Visit the official website of India Post at https://appost.in/gdsonline/ or https://indiapost.gov.in
- Click on the link ‘Registration Initially candidate has to register in the Registration module once per cycle and obtain unique registration number’
- Register by filling in the Aadhaar details, phone number, date of birth, category, and other columns
- Answer questions such as Can You Ride a Bicycle or whether employer NOC is available
- Applicant from the UR/OBC/EWS category has to pay ₹100 as application fee. Candidates who fall in any category other than that will not be charged by India post.
- Submit Post preferences
- Preview and take a print-out of the form for future reference.
India Post Recruitment 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification:
Candidates who have passed the 10th standard Secondary School Examination certificate with passing marks in Mathematics, local language, and English, administered by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India, State Governments, or Union Territories in India. The candidate should have completed at least 10th grade in the local language.
Age limit:
18 to 40 years of age (Age relaxation for reserved category as per govt. norm and there will no age relaxation for EWS Category)
The emergency positions will be filled without an examination, which means that selected candidates will not be required to take an examination.
West Bengal GDS recruitment 2021: Age Limit and relaxations:
- Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 40, according to the announcement.
- Candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe group will have their upper age restriction reduced by 5 years.
- Candidates from other Backward Classes will be granted a three-year age relaxation.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) will be given a ten-year age relaxation.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) who are also members of the OBC will be given a 13-year age relaxation.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + SC/ST would be granted a 15-year age relaxation.
